It has come to my attention that tomorrow is a holiday of sorts. The term holiday in of itself should technically not apply to the majority of our festivals, because they are just that; Festivals. The term holiday is a descendant of the term Holy Day. Thanksgiving is not a Holy Day. But I digress.... Can we truly throw a festival of thanks? Do we, as Americans, deserve to be thankful? In my humblest of opinions, I would like to decry the beloved holiday.
First of all, Thanksgiving is nothing but a bloody, terrible stain on the history of America. Throw away your 3rd grade education and do some real digging if you want to really understand what there was to be thankful for. I am certainly not thankful for taking advantage of the kindness of another culture.
More importantly, we have twisted the meaning so far from its original meaning, that it is but a token to help us remember how shitty we DONT have it compared to other civilizations, whom are in a bigger shit pile than us. That is one piss poor excuse to buy over-priced bird, which the settlers DID NOT eat. They were much more likely to of eaten pheasant. Plus, they taste better. Once again, I digress...
Thanksgiving should not be about gathering with fair-weather family and eating food we dont deserve to stuff our faces with. Instead, this Autumn Festival, why not aim your sights on more important things.... Like sleep... And ... Stuff... Apathy is telling me to shut up.
Happy Thanksgiving.

(as I apparently stated nearly 5 years ago, " you're such a good poet, but you've got so few hits! " Hah, I fail...)
It seems to me that you're one of those deep and brooding characters, which seems to be a rarity these days (most of the time I find I have to strain to find any sort of complex beauty in one's personality). You are quite talented. I commend you for that.
Much love and adoration,
Samantha

Its not easy to be a writer these days. It seems anyone can have a voice and cause so much static. You are a wonderful artist and though I cant project my talents as visual as you, it is apparent that you have the gift of mental imagery and can feel my work. I am glad you feel that way. It is becoming very difficult to find appreciators of my work.
Again, thank you.
